Dr. Roberts is known for his gentle touch, and takes patient comfort seriously. His patients love his “painless Novocaine” which makes getting injections very comfortable. Dr. Roberts’ combination of training and experience, along with his calm and assured manner, make the most difficult procedures simple for his patients.
Dr. Joseph Roberts completed a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and has received formal dental education at Temple University School of Dental Medicine, Montefiore Hospital and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Roberts has served as President of Eastern Dental Society as well a founding member and president of Philadelphia Implant Society. Dr. Roberts has been published in the Journal of the American Dental Association and the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of local and national dental organizations and has lectured abroad in dental implants and digital radiography. Dr. Roberts serves on the Board of the Kornberg School of Dentistry.
As part of a passion his passion for music and education, Dr. Roberts is the founder of Let Them Rock and was a founding partner of School of Rock and is an active board member.

Dr. Kathryn Ames has been a member of the American Dental Association, and The Pennsylvania Dental Association. She completed her undergraduate training at Universities in Maine and Pennsylvania and received her doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University. Dr. Ames served as clinical instructor at Temple University, helping shape the next generation of great dentists.

Dr. Tewari is a proud native of Delaware County and excited to remain in her beloved city of Philadelphia to practice. Dr. Tewari is known with her patients to have a uniquely gentle touch and calming demeanor which makes, what can be a scary environment for most people, feel much more comfortable. In fact, many of her patients are those who have avoided the dentist for years out of fear, meet her and finally feel the ease and confidence to get to their healthiest self possible. Patients leave her chair amazed to find a dental visit can actually be painless and pleasant. Her primary goal as a provider is to build trusted lifelong relationships with her patients.
Dr. Tewari received her Master’s in Biomedical Sciences at The Commonwealth Medical College and her Doctorate at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. While in dental school she was awarded the prestigious “Dean's Scholarship for Professionalism and Ethics.” As a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), Dr. Tewari has a serious commitment to the highest standards and levels of excellence in dentistry. Only 6% of dentists in the entire country are able to obtain this honor due to the rigorous requirements which includes over 500 hours of continuing education and passing an exam equal in difficulty to difficult board certification exams.
Her post-graduate training includes a distinctive six-month Implant continuum course, advanced occlusion “bite relationship” training, certification with the Advanced Laser Training academy to treat gum disease as well as halitosis, and is a provider for "clear braces" with Invisalign. All of her extensive training allows her to provide the most conservative, effective, and technologically advanced treatment for her patients.
In her personal time, Dr. Tewari loves traveling and experiencing new cultures with her husband. Much of her time is spent chasing after her two beautiful children Zuri and Kais and of course her furbaby Snoop!

Sheena Shukla Hauser, DDS is a proud Canadian who hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia where she was born and raised. She attended Dalhousie University faculty of Dentistry after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Hauser then completed a 2 year general practice residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. This comprehensive residency allowed her to treat and manage patients with complex dental and medical needs. She enjoyed her time in North Carolina after which she migrated north to the suburbs of Philadelphia. She has practiced in this area since 2008 and is thrilled to now be a part of the Philly Smiles team.
Dr Hauser believes in cultivating meaningful and strong relationships with her patients with an emphasis on clear communication, rapport, and respect. She also believes in doing everything she can to provide a pleasant and comfortable appointment time for her patients. When she is not working, Dr Hauser is often either found on the tennis court or baking and cooking up a veritable storm. She is also kept incredibly busy with her three teen, preteen and elementary aged sons - who each have a variety of interests which keeps her running! Dr Hauser also enjoys other passions as well such as world wide travel and her ever favorite scuba diving in the Caribbean.
